Good
It's good. Battery life seems good. Audio output - good. Build quality seems good. Looks... good.

Alright
Of late I've become accustomed to relatively high quality audio from smaller devices eg. Sonos One, Amazon Echo, even Psyc Monic. I was left feeling immediately disappointed and underwhelmed by the output when I tested this device prior to gifting. There is a distinct lack of bass. The sound quality appears to be that of a rather cheap unit.
This item is a gift for my mother and since she is likely to spend most of the time listening to spoken work and given that this speaker claims "class-leading audio reproduction", I didn't hold out much hope for the rest of the class. As such, after much deliberation, I've decided not to return it and to present it in Feb.
The controls are a bit clunky (eg. selecting a pre-set station above #3 seems unnecessarily complicated). The unit lacks sufficient weight to resist the urge to pivot backwards when trying to depress any of the buttons meaning one has to hold the unit still to use the buttons.
If it were for my own use, for sure, this item would have been returned immediately. I just hope it performs well enough to make it a welcome addition to my mother's kitchen.
