Good Product
Effective facility for household use. Easy to use straight out of the box. Relatively inexpensive.

Worthwhile purchase
2 of 2 found this helpful I've had one of these B&D Scorpions for many years until it gave up the ghost last autumn. It had served well, mainly in the garden: cutting away dead wood, shaping bushes, even cutting down trees. And the latter was the first task for the new tool - cutting down an underperforming 40-year-old apple tree and rendering it suitable for the garden-waste bin. It would not have been possible to do it with a manual saw - beyond my physical powers (I'm in my 80's). The safety features are well thought out and the mechanism is tough and foolproof. Like all mechanical tools, care is needed (just as it cuts off branches, it could cut off a hand) but only to a modest extent.

Even I could manage
Our local jeweller charges £8 to repair a watch strap, so this kit is a bargain. The tool provided makes fitting a springbar easy enough for even a clumsy like me. Without the tool I would need 3 hands, and a lot of patience. The range of sizes also helps.
