After 50 years these songs stand the test of time in metal.
I must admit, i was already a big fan of Budgie, a trio metal band from Cardiff, Wales that never got their true shot at stardom. Like so many others. They made a great trio of albums in the 1970's which i have on vinyl and still play to this day. All 10 songs are taken from these 3 albums, but decided to purchase this compilation to play in the car, or some great metal music to play whilst i work around the house. Metallica and Soundgarden have tipped their hats to these guy by covering songs in their setlists. Believe me, check these guys out. Happy head banging.

Great intro to this fantastic album if unfamiliar with it.
Great album. Wore out my vinyl years ago. The artwork is fantastic with a 16-page booklet. The remastering seems fine. Still love the base lines from Peter Hook and Ian Curtis, his vocals seem more on the abyss. The bonus cd is taken from a 1979 concert. A bit rough and ready, but so were the bands and venues in those days. Highly recommend.

Not as good as previous release.
Same artist, same producer with only 2 years between albums, but this 2008 release by Mark Pickerel is not the same standard of his 2006 release Snake In The Radio. Production values seem as good, but maybe the material is not as grabbing. Maybe it could be a grower. It happens. Give this album a try, but by all means if you want to start with Snake In The Radio. If his name is familiar, he was the original drummer in The Screaming Trees. This album is alt country.
