Fremo EVO Amp’d an intelligent battery base with bluetooth speaker for Echo Dot

Good, barely above average speaker and battery base

So I bought this to enhance my echo Dot 2nd gen, and it does its job, but that's about it. It does truly make the Dot portable, however the 5-6 hours of battery time is pretty dismal. I guess for a small product, it's not so bad. I can do with that, as I can keep the usb cord plugged in and topped off. However, the 2nd aspect to this product, the speaker portion, is average in every sense of the word. Now that may be enough for some, but I demand better as a consumer, especially with its product description raving about the acoustics. Now, obviously, I'm not going to compare to other stand alone bluetooth speakers in its price range or higher, but the sound coming out of this is just an amplified boost to the Echo speaker itself. The sound is tinny, frail and weak, just a little louder. There is no bass whatsoever, and that's coming from a person that is not expecting much of this little speaker. I guess it does what it says it does, and nothing more. For that, 3 stars is good enough.

good beats for the price!

This would easily sell for $50. It does have that extra bass as it claims due to its extra chamber that's on the opposite end of the buds. Not as loud as I'd like, but then again, its earbuds. Much better than any prepackaged buds with phones. I love the non tangling tapered cord with a slight grille on it. Would be better if it had volume control, but playback controls and a mic is more than I'd can ask for. All in all, great buds for the price and a whopping 4.5 stars!
