Its been able to match a 80-6m end fed to work on 160m with a very nice SWR
In preparation to add an end fed HF/VHF antenna, plus a mobile set up, all within a new ham's budget, th0e LDG Z-100 seemed to be the best choice.
Its been able to match a 80-6m end fed to work on 160m with a very nice SWR. And, with its internal battery power supply, the transition to mobile is simple. My only challenge is with this set up is a Yaesu FT-857D. The mobile setup is remote controled to the transceiver body in the back of the car. I need to run to the trunk to trigger the matching process. I am toying with the idea of creating a remote trigger.
Otherwise, it's a great tool.

It works well and I can easily and quickly tune the rig from the drivers seat. Success!
The YT100 is now installed in my Prius along with the Yaesu FT-857D and the early tests are wonderful. The 857 has a detachable face plate near the driver and the radio is in the back under the hatchback. My early choice for a tuner worked, but it didn't have a remote activation.
The YT-100 integrates well with the 857 plus it has a remote tune feature.
It works well and I can easily and quickly tune the rig from the drivers seat. Success!
