Did something in the design change?
I've used several Aquabot Mamba cleaners in the past and always had good results, however, this latest purchase is disappointing. The unit fails to run and has to be restarted every few minutes. I've tried all the fixes and corrections that I have used in the past with no success. It has low power and the hammer does not respond to any changes in the water flow rate.

Not what I expected from Hayward
I decided to purchase this item because I was recently disappointed by the effectiveness of a copycat pool cleaner. Hayward is a well known name and I assumed I would get much better performance for a few dolloars more. I have been disappointed because the cleaner often stops functioning until poked with a pool brush or net, gets caught on the drain a lot, and often falls off the wall and lands on its head and doesn't move. Maybe I've done something wrong in hooking it up to my vacuum port but I've had much better results results from cheaper hammer type Kreepy Krauly knockoffs in the past.
