Tree pulling
A tree in my garden was leaning dangerously over the boundary. I was able to use this winch to pull it more upright so I could cut off the higher branches, and then cut down the trunk itself.
The wire rope part of the winch could have done with being longer, but using ropes it was manageable.
It was great to be able to do it satisfactorily.

This tape does not work at repelling slugs. I wrapped it around a shallow dish holding hedgehog food. The slugs crawled over the tape and eat the food
This tape does not work at repelling slugs. I wrapped it around a shallow dish holding hedgehog food. The slugs crawled over the tape and eat the food. I set an experiment with some of this tape surrounded by leftover copper heating pipe, with slugs on the tape. They did not mind the tape but backed away from the copper pipes. They clearly did not like them. But the tape was no problem.
