Good value for a pre-used item
2 of 2 found this helpful As a retired aircraft maintenance engineer I felt that the product was not as intuitive and user-friendly as it should be - a lot could be learned from mobile phones.
1/ I had to refer to the manual on several occasions to carry out some basic functions;
2/ Certain streets (in Dublin) do not have their correct names loaded e.g. 'Great Charles St North' appears as 'Charles Street Great';
3/ If I wanted to make a correction to a street name I did not seem to be able to bring the cursor back to the letter to be corrected;
4/ The screen requires a hard press to accept a letter when typing and seems to be very slow - a quick double press for a double letter often resulted in just one letter being added.
5/ I've had one error in navigation; waiting at a junction I was not told to turn left until after I had actually turned left (luckily, I knew the route and was just testing the system).
6/ Maps should be lifetime maps on all the TomTom products.
