Not sure if it makes a difference
1 of 1 found this helpful I can't really tell whether it's helping with my kettle. I still see limescale building on the bottom but it's possible it's catching some of it. Perhaps it works better when you boil a lot of water. We're only two in my house so the water barely covers the ball most of the time.

Good little case
Just wanted some simple hard case protection to take the switch on holiday. Does the job nicely.
