A handy outline guide.
I bought this as required reading for a course I was doing.
It is a great little book which gives an outline of the history and development of mapping, and is easily carried about in pocket or handbag.
Because of its size, it cannot be exhaustive, but is good for pointing the reader towards more in depth information on the subject. It is concerned with the history of mapping rather than map collecting.

Great Show!
Fabulous show by Cole Porter, one of the masters of the genre. An updated version of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, it is well cast and full of well known songs which fans of musical theatre will want to sing along with even if they are not familiar with the story - Too Darn Hot, Wunderbar, Brush up your Shakespeare, to name but a few. They don't make them like this any more!
