Thank you for the time spent preserving and using this oldie, we will take great care of it (has already been named Yoda, as for ancient great knowledge and power) :)

Phantasy Star this isn't, but it's worth a whirl
1 of 1 found this helpful Miracle Warriors is much like the system it is designed for: it's the lesser competitor in a competition it was never meant to win. The SMS went up against the NES in the late 80's and, while a success in Europe and South America, it never caught on here in the US. It sold respectably, but the NES was a 20 to 1 favorite in terms of sales outright. Miracle Warriors was up against Phantasy Star, a game that spawned several sequels and still does even today (see the PSP games).
The game itself is fairly rudimentary. Think Dragon Warrior or poor-mans Phantasy Star when a battle begins. The graphics are not much to look at but the game itself is fairly large, taking a solid 30 hours to finish. Anyone ever play Final Fantasy on the NES through to the end? They are about the same length. What Miracle Warriors lacks in originality though, it almost makes up for in fun. There are several enemies and they are quite diverse. The map screen is unique in that the game uses a square to move as opposed to the actual characters as in games like Dragon Warrior or Final Fantasy.
In the end, for the money, Miracle Warriors is a winner. It's hard to find so much game for so little money. A solid PS3 title these days will give the player around 20 hours of game time to complete. Miracle Warriors gives someone 50 to 100% more playing time of monster hunting, albeit at the graphical equivalent of a typewriter. Give it a chance, you won't be disappointed.

Wizardry is...Wizardry
If you are a dork like I am, you know what this game is. It's a dungeon crawler and it's fun. If you like the previous 4, you will like this one too. It's not easy, it's engrossing and for the price (in any form, console or PC), it's worth the money. I bought it for the SNES but have it on several platforms so that should tell you what I think of it.

An Expensive Cookbook for Mom
It's a cookbook. It's no longer in print. It's written by a really respected fiction author. I couldn't care less...except that my mother wanted it, she loves it and for me, that's an excellent book.
