A handy little gadget

These days, you can't take your privacy and network security for granted. And many laptop manufacturers doesn't include a built-in webcam shutter or at least an indication LED to let you know the camera is active. This handy little gadget simply sticks onto your webcam lens and almost looks like it's part of the computers design. It is very thin, so it won't be in the way when closing the laptop lid.

Cheap preamp with expensive sound

I bought this preamplifier to amplify my Pro-Ject Carbon turntable for use on my livingroom receiver. The sound from this preamp is impressive when I take into account how cheap it was. Clean, tight and clear sound that makes my records sing. And no distortion or hum at all! It is housed inside a metal case, so it is very well shielded from outside electromagnetic interference. The only downside with it is that it should have had the ability to connect to an external power supply. But that can be done with a power supply with 9V battery snap-connector. But then again, the 9V battery (included) lasts for a very long time, so it shouldn't be a problem at all. If you need a good preamp, don't be fooled by how cheap it is. This is a very good preamp!
