quite watchable.
Moliere french farce, made in Germany 1926 what a combination!The humour of the play is somewhat lost with it being a silient film,but the morality comes over the charactar must have been meat and drink to the prohabition America.that is until Tartuffe starts leering his friends wifes breasts,that is.The star Emil Jannings, who tried his luck in Holywood,would come back to germany to be the star in "The Blue Angel" which would practicaly make Marlene Dietrich an International sex symbol.
Moliere plays are that hard to find on video or DVD,that I would recomend this film to any Moliere fan.
Who said the Germans don't have a sence of humour
