Awesome durable waterproof hat!
Friend had an older model that had metal snaps for the sides and a fit and set brim stiffener that I thought would be better than the current model with velcro. I could not find that model and was reluctant to try the velcro side supports but turns out they are heavy duty and not the fuzzy type that wear out quickly and are impossible to clean. The brim is sufficiently stiff enough to form to your liking and keeps the water off the back of your neck well. I live in the pacific NW and walk my dog in the rain alot. More than I'd like to spend on a hat but this has been one of my best investments when it comes to durable hats.
