The REAL song from Donnie Darko
You know the song from the end of Donnie Darko? This is it. Don't get Mad World Part II or the Gary Jules album, those just have remixes. This version has the song the way it appeared in the film. I have to say, I like the Michael Andrews & Gary Jules version of "Mad World" more than the original by Tears for Fears. It conveys a sadness and lamenting of our own society and what it has led our lives to become. The simplicity of the piano and vocals creates an intimacy with the listener not found in the remixes, which is why I prefer this version and sought it out over others. This version advertises two tracks, but my single has three, the other two being a remix of Mad World and a track from the score of Donnie Darko. The piece from the score is take it or leave it. The remix of Mad World is decent, but not quite as good as track one's original version.

A Soundtrack Arguably Better Than the Show That Inspired It.
I discovered this compilation on Apple Music a few years ago and fell in love with it. A couple weeks ago I discovered my phone no longer had access to the compilation and that Apple Music had removed it from their catalogue. That was unacceptable, so I immediately went on eBay and here we are. I love the tones of Resistance Radio, the classic covers and the way it’s made to sound like older, perhaps AM radio style recordings. Resistance Radio has a great concept birthed from The Man in the High Castle, and in my opinion surpassing it.

The Dandy Warhols' Best to Date!
1 of 1 found this helpful After sampling tracks online, I decided against downloading specific songs as the entire album appeared to be good and instead bought the CD. Upon listening to it my expectations were exceeded by leaps and bounds. Out of all the material I have heard from the Dandy Warhols, "Thirteen Tales of Urban Bohemia" is by far my favorite album. Every song has its own unique feel and sound, something most modern popular music sorely lacks. There is a great deal of originality to the songs, some grounded in rock while others explore spacy or folk-like tones. The lead singer (Courtney Taylor-Taylor) also explores his great vocal range more than in their previous album (The Dandy Warhols Come Down), channeling influences like Lou Reed. My personal recommendations to get a feel of the range of this album are "Godless", "Mohommed", "Sleep", "Horse Pills", and the single "Bohemian Like You."
