A Guy Named Joe

Spencer Tracy is at his best as the battle wise and world wise Bomber pilot during WWII. He is great, both as the crusty lover and instructor. He is joined with an outstanding side kick in Ward Bond and fellow pilot / girlfriend in Irene Dunn. The real flying sequences are good too. Quite enjoyable. It is both funny and warming. If you like this movie watch "Always" by Steven Spielberg starring Richard Dreyfus, Holly Hunter, and John Goodmen.
