Rock solid, quality cross slide, and do not compare this to cheap Chinese junk.
7 of 7 found this helpful This compound slide is way better than I thought it would be. Even from this company which as a good reputation, it is still made in china. Don't compare this to a Harbor Freight product, the quality is completely different. Although this is not a compound slide of the precision you would find on a milling machine, it gets pretty close "especially" for the price. I had to take it apart and clean it, adjust the gibs a bit, and I can even mill cold rolled steel with a pretty good finish. The dials do zero by the way and that is a great feature. I looked long and hard for the best value that I could find that was not junk, and I believe this companies product more than fits the bill. JS
