Very Musical Speakers.
0 of 1 found this helpful The KEF's do well what good British speakers typically do well. They play music. If you want some sort of "knock your socks off" sound for home theater or rap or heavy metal or the like, stay as far away as you can from the Q1's. If you want the accurate reproduction of a jazz trio, acoustic guitar or the human voice then get up close and personal with the KEF's.

What more can you ask?
It's reliable and there is very little to no lag time.

A Great Little Box
2 of 2 found this helpful My Intel NUC5I7RYH is equipped with 16 GB of Dual Channel DD3 RAM, a 500GB Samsung 850 EVO SATA SSD and a 250GB Samsung 850 EVO M.2 SSD. It is configured as a PLEX server that has, to date, performed admirably. No noticeable latency in serving up music, tv shows, or movies. Local sound is though an older NAD 3130 integrated stereo receiver into a pair of KEF Q1's and that little setup does remarkably well.
I am still in the learning phase with PLEX and could run into some problems later on down the line. But, for now, all is going much better than expected. The four star rating is a result of fan noise. There is a good bit of time when the fan doesn't run, but when it does, it is loud. In fact, very loud for the size of the little box.
