Valuable piece of kit
Bought this to replace the self same product which I have been using for about the last ten years. The design is exactly the same as previously and it does an excellent job of cleaning the gravel without removing water at the same time so very useful for routine surface cleaning in between water changes. Well made and fully waterproof, it can be used with the extension on or off. My only comment, which I made ten years ago as well, is that it would be good if both sections of the cleaning tube had the 'toothed' profile. However, this in no way detracts from it functionality and I have no hesitation in recommending it. OK, it's not cheap, but given that I've used the old one for a minimum of once a week for the last ten years, I think it good value for money.

The final chapter in a remarkable story.
2 of 2 found this helpful If you have seen the previous 24 episodes which make up Heimat - A Chronicle of Germany, and Heimat 2 - Chronicle of a Generation, then this is an absolute must see. Heimat 3 - A Chronicle of Endings and Beginnings is the final series of 6 episodes, each approx 2 hours in length.
Mainly following the lives of Hermann and Clarissa after their chance meeting in Berlin on that memorable night in 1989 when the Wall came down, it chronicles the impact of the event on their lives, on Germany itself, and the ensuing re-unification of the country. It ends with the dawning of the 21st century at which point we leave the many characters to pursue their lives unobserved. It contains many familiar characters from the previous two series but also many new ones and finally brings the trilogy to its conclusion. As with real life, there is sadness and tension, happiness and humour and also a reminder of how exciting the arrival of home computing was to those of us who experienced it! Included is a special feature documentary entitled 'Schabbach is Everywhere' which provides a fascinating insight into the making of the entire trilogy. Excellent interviews with Edgar Reitz and many of the cast, both professional and amateur. As an avid fan of Heimat, I would say that it's worth the money for this special feature alone.
If you have Heimat 1 and 2; get it - you will not be dissapointed.
