An endearing book of an amazing life style
Amanda Owen describes a year in her life on the North Yorkshire farm. There is a great selection of photos of the children doing family activities. There is the wonderful charm of the TV series.
I only gave 4 stars as I had hoped for more recipes which I could have used in my own home when serving large numbers.

A lot of information for a little money
This book evaluates, parish by parish, the economic value of Somerset in 1086. It represents a starting point for a study of my local village. Written in transcription so easily read.
