ThoseDammed Bavarian Crisis
Flint and DeMarce weave a wonderfully crafted tale of how single-minded women be they royal or common blood can turn a world upside down without resorting to bombs, daggers, fast cars or racy gowns. Toppling dynasties like dominoes as they plow aside every reasonable man advise and trusting their own opinions that say damn the torpedoes and damn the unintended consequences, I am Woman, hear me roar!
A male reader takes little evil delight in seeing how some other poor man's wife, or mother/in-law, a young archduchess and a beautiful young seamstress upend Europe because he knows just how the poor guy feels.
A female reader will revel in the courage and solidarity these women share and how in the end a woman's thoughts prove right and their disdain for "reasonable men's warnings" pay off with every bad guy in this morality play stumbling over their Madea routines backed by the soundtrack to THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
It was written with just enough tongue in cheek to avoid being a comedy but enough to allow the husbands of such women a way to laugh at some fictional guy walking a mile in his shoes.
