Better than Stanley/Record 071½ . . . . . .
. . . . . but so it should be.
Very well made indeed, of good materials, & with typically-Veritas intelligent details: the spring-loaded collar for the irons is a functional delight; the honing-guide jig for the included blades is also clever, if less functional.
Supplied with 2x ½” irons only, & with no fence. Since a ¼” iron & a fence together cost over £50 this makes the Veritas router a £200+ successor to the Stanley I bought new in the early 1970s - which came with 3x irons & a fence.
