New Microsoft Office 365 Personal Word Excel PowerPoint OneNote Outlook

Good when functioning
Like most converts to MS Office 365 I arrived from decades with the desktop applications. 365 is an admirable concept and I was seduced by the notion of latest software and continuous updates. In practice the speed of the suite is a major frustration which is evident in all applications but particularly Excel. Word, Excel ant Powerpoint are painfully slow to start on my 2 year old MacBook, more than a minute...sometimes significantly more. Excel is very slow particularly on the first use of a feature after opening; e.g. if I try to access "format cells" it can take 15-20 seconds of stalling for the feature to be available (to be fair it functions normally after first opening). I have also suffered from crashes; not often but maybe 4 or 5 times over the 2 years I have been using it . Despite these issues I have, on balance, decided that I will persist as I expect things will get better. For me if I cancel dropbox and use the MS One Drive (which appears very capable) then I actually end up saving money and having the Office suite for free... at least that is what i tell my wife.
