Fabulous

Hairy Maclary - Ten Favourite Stories (DVD 2004)
My 18-month old son loves the Hairy Maclary books, but isn't keen on much TV so I thought this would be good and he thinks it's great.
The stories on the DVD are "exactly" as the books - same familiar pictures as the books but moving. The animation may be a little basic but they retain the charm of the illustrations my son loves.
The familiarity appeals to my son and he seems to like the "kiwi" accent of the lady narrater, although I found this a little strange.
Overall I would recommend this as it a charming DVD if you like the books and great for pre-schoolers.
