ideal for what i want

Maybe ok if you understand Chinese if you dont i would save your money for something that works 100%
Operation instructions are woeful and almost impossible to understand and the device itself works when it wants to picture quality is good audio so so but getting it to record is a nightmare build quality is what you expect cheap and not that cheerful.
