Great unit, controls leave room for improvement

Other than the touchscreen, which I’ll come back to in a sec, you can only use the steering wheel controls to navigate... its not too much of an issue but when you hit “ok” (wheel button) or “back” (mode button) it hides the digital reader in the dash (Speedo, mpg etc) and you have to press “back” (mode button) again to bring it back but that then takes you back on the unit so you have to use touchscreen, so may as well not bother with the steering wheel controls.
The touchscreen isn’t very responsive, you have to press rather than touch.
Android auto is ok, it does the job but you have to have it connected by usb all the time so I opted to jump to iOS and wow, what an improvement.
CarPlay wireless is awesome! Much better interface than android auto but you still get the issues above with touchscreen and steering controls.
Overall I am happy with the unit but had to purchase an iPhone to get to that level.
Hopefully an update to the steering controls and touchscreen will resolve these little niggling issues.
