Essential if you are lifting moderate to heavy or have wrist pain (even small amounts of pain)
1 of 1 found this helpful I've read some reviews on this online and thought I would add my own review to help as I was a bit concerned about this items benefit. (See end for TL;DR)
You always have the choice of not using wrist support, along with the ego, you can choose to slug it out, but as you get older the aches and pains creep in (late 20s/early 30s), I therefore got these.
They are quite bulky compared to normal wrist supports such as those for general daily use but that added bulk makes sense when you start lifting, if you have even the slightest pain in the wrist during lifts I would recommend these, they do take it all away, just be sure to twist the padded area round to where it feels most weakest.
Although I pressed Yes for quality I wish there was an unsure, it has a solid feel but I worry over prolonged use the stitches on the pad may come undone, perhaps better stitching should be used for future releases of this, the pad could also do with slight less length as it gets trapped when you strap, despite this though if I can get at least a year's use I would happily get another pair, though obviously would prefer it to be much longer lasting, time will tell. I would say 5/5 if this had better/sturdier stitching.
Would be nice if instructions were included, but it made sense once I looked at the hand in the picture - you push the strap through the metal hinge, pull it through for a nice circular shape then put the appropriate hand in and tighten. I adjust mine and loosen depending on activity. See picture. Thank you for a nice item.
I have instantly bought another pair of these for a family member.
TL;DR – Worth it if you want to avoid any wrist pains, some drawbacks but nothing that should mean keep coping with them wrist aches!
