Great kit

It's a great kit, went together very well and no flash on the mouldings that needed removing. Typical (good!) Tamiya instructions. Shocks are friction dampers which are poor but easily replaced with Mini CVA oil shocks that fit right on

Well designed, some issues though

It fits on to my X type very well, managed to do it just by releasing the silencer bracket and the lower part of the bumper. It's a nice solid design - BUT - the screw threads had not been cleaned out after painting, and paint was missing on other parts of it. One of the threads was poor (probably weld splatter) which held the job up a bit and made it a bit of a pig. I'd order an M12 tap as well to clean the threads up, it will save time in the end.

Substantial and well designed, finish poor.

It's sturdy enough to do the job and the adjustable pin and hardened tip on the bolt work really nicely. The finish is a bit rough and castings asymmetrical in places but it doesn't affect how it works. Much better than my "toolzone" one where the bolt bent on the second go.
