An alternative to the well known standard.
Lee Oskar have always been a better alternative to the standard Hohner in my opinion. As a starter-intermediate harp and a staple harp for jams etc, it is better because of the plastic comb. Perhaps a small loss in tone, but they never smell as wooden comb harps can!

Advantages over wood.
Seydel aluminium comb harps predictably don't give the tones of wood. However, they are much more cleanable and very long lasting. Good harps for the money.

Can be a good solution
Buying reed plates is never guaranteed. A certain amount of precision. is required in fitting them.
That said, with a little care you can save about 60% on the cost of a new harp and reduce plastic/metal waste along the way.
Recommended to try, as long as you have a tool kit which consists of more than a hammer!
