One of the most stylish ebikes with excellent build quality.
4 of 4 found this helpful Very happy with this bike. Impressive and solid build quality and features. Seller gave it a 9/10, and I agree that's about right. Manufacturer (Apollo Vehicles, China) make motorbikes and appear to be a sound/professional engineering business. Bike is very well made, with good quality parts, including Tektro Aries disk brakes and the well know Bafang electric drive motor, widely used in ebikes. Bike folds as small as eBikes do. With saddle fully extended it comfortably fits my 6' 3" height, so should fit most people unless taller. It also handles my weight (90kg) easily. It is moderately heavy at 22kG... but that's the same weight as the popular Kwikfold Xite which doesn't come with front suspension forks or cool looking 3 spoke alloy wheels. The electric pedal-assist motor easily handles the weight... though limited to 15.5mph in accordance with UK law. The Top Gun suspension forks are well made, though non-adjustable (which would increase cost). The forks help improve stability on uneven surfaces... due to the small 20" wheels characteristic of folding bikes. 20" wheels are better than the popular Kwikfold Xite's 16" wheels for stability. The Kwikfold may be better if you need to carry the bike, in which case I would get a bike weighing around 16kg like the Apollo B52 (6 kg / 12 lb lighter). The Smart S2 is ideal if you have limited storage space at either end of the journey, but with the benefits of a very robust/solid monocoque frame and build quality, (without loads of nuts/bolts to rattle loose and/or keep checking as with some quick folding bikes). I also think the solid one piece frame and alloy wheels make this one of the best looking folding ebikes on the market.

OK for normal torque nuts, but snaps off like cheese if any wheelnuts are slightly over-torqued.
If you need an extending wheel brace to take nuts off at correct torque, this should do. But any overtightened nuts and this will snap off like cheese... if my experience is anything to go by. This is certainly not as described, and not sufficiently hardened. I used mine 3 times. Twice for normal nuts, and it worked fine. Once for an overtightened nut and with just a moderate amount of force the end snapped clean off.

Well designed. Works as intended.
Good quality. Cable and connections seem robust. The two receptacle connectors are not marked for headset/microphone (if you use them for headset), but it's easy to swap them round to check that an attached headset/microphone combination is correctly connected. Otherwise it works fine.
