A Beautiful DVD of a Positively Hideous Film
I've loved this film for years. It's a classic and though it's frankly quite awful, it's brilliantly awful and memorable for that very reason. The DVD transfer is very nice. The film's oddly bright color palette has never looked more bold and in defiance of nature. The magenta blood is positively nauseating yet hilarious. Like other Something Weird DVDs I've seen, the menu is well designed and includes an unrelated but well paired short, as well as a gallery of exploitation art. This is a great DVD to show at parties and explore with friends.
HP HEWLETT-PACKARD LT-100 MONO/STEREO HEADPHONES 3.5mm VOLUME CONTROL LONG CORD

They have a long cord. That's good, right?
First, I want to say I am not one to give negative reviews, but these headphones are not just great, or even good. I can hear sound clearly through them, but the tone is extremely dull and flat. The foam coverings completely disintegrated within a week. If I'm just monitoring sound to make sure it's happening, they're fine. The long cord is convenient, but for actually listening to music, I do not recommend buying these headphones. Even if you think sound makes no difference, it makes more of a difference than these can deliver.
Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos (VHS, Dec-1992, A*Vision Entertainment)

Worth it if you have a working VCR
If you still have a working VCR, (I don't believe it's available on DVD) this is a great document of the early days of an extraordinary talent. It's well produced and includes not only the four beautiful music videos Tori made for the Little Earthquakes singles with artist Cindy Palmano, (who also did the photography and design for Tori's first three records,) but also features live performances of a number of songs from the album, as well as two b-sides, including the best performance of "Here. in My Head" I've heard.
