Share in the history. A great age,a great film, a great price
This film epitomises what is historically and culturally a very important genre of film, the British war movie. These films ,filmed in the 1950,s were written,filmed ,acted and watch on cinema release by people who had all shared in a collective common experience covering all aspects of WW2. The Dambusters, The cruel sea, Above us the waves, and many many more. The Colditz story sums up all those British characteristic we still like to think we posses, the quiet determination, courage, resourcefulness ,ingenuity and the good old British stiff upper lip of making light humour in adverse situations. It's all here in this film. Someone once said that teaching history is all about telling the younger generation what they have to live up to if their moment comes. This is what your ancestors did, do not let them down. A really great film that no young adult should go unseen. Most people watch a film to escape from the day to day humdrum of life. Well this film is the very best of escapism. Buy it, see it ,own it.
