Even better than the original.
I’ve been a big fan of the Neo1 since it’s release. Provided you don’t expect the unreasonable it’s a great little light. The mk II is even better. I mainly used the neo1 as a fill light for portraits and video or for table top still work. The MkII is useable as a key light, provided you don’t position it 10 feet from the subject. They both make great camera mounted lights for video. I haven’t yet tried the flash functions on the neo2 as I have an extensive speed light setup, but I’m sure I’ll give it a go at some point. The quality of light from these units is lovely.

At this price just brilliant!
At sub £250 for a lens you really don’t expect much, but this lens pretty much defies that premise hands down. I’ll be using this mostly for property interiors, so the inability to fit an ND or polariser isn’t really an issue for me, though it may be for some folk so it’s worth baring in mind. Solid, great image quality/price ratio, should last for donkey’s years. I took a punt with this, but I’ll certainly consider Samyang again.

Best fun I ever had with my clothes on.
4 of 4 found this helpful I got this as a ‘toe in the water’ experiment with aerial photography and video. It’s more than done it’s job in this respect and has led to my working towards a PfCO so that I can legitimately include aerial work in my media business. Not the absolute best image quality, but surprisingly good considering the sensor size and lens involved. With realistic expectations, a little common sense regarding light levels and a decent set of polarising ND filters, both stills and video are good enough for low level commercial work (which is exactly what I do). Depending upon how demand grows for aerial work within my business, I may well upgrade to something more capable in the future, but in the meantime this little Mavic will do nicely. All that serious workman stuff aside, this thing is also a trainload of fun and every bloke should have one.
