Angelic
Give your ears a rare treat and buy this album. The opening track 'This Joy' is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It is difficult to listen without comparison to Liz Fraser of the Cocteau Twins and Simon Raymonde's production clearly influences her sound. Whilst she's not yet mastered Fraser's emotional commitment in every song, she does bring her own warmth and purity. Her voice is lovely and her lyrics are interesting, edgy and abstract. Think folk meets light ambient and you have an interesting album. Enjoy it!
