simple, colourful ad positive
Firstly, the images are great. They vary from calendar posters, to temple images and even old murthis (statues) from ancient time all stretching from medival to modern India. The descriptions in the book are very simple yet gives enough detail for a learner to understand the basics and learn much from this short book. The only small negative is that I wish the images displayed inside the book had more sources behind them as it would be great to know where the items are kept or even where the items are being displayed and in which museum. Having said that, I was not disappointed and I would recommend this not only to people learning about Hinduism, but to all Indians so we can all apperciate the great history we have come from

I read the book befoe the movie came out and due to my interest I purchased the DVD of the movie. As we know the book is better But as for this product, the 2 Disc Set. Disc 1 - The movie is average, quite slow in some scenes and missing detail in other parts. Disc 2 - The bonus material is quite disappointing, I was expecting more detail than the movie offered, but it focused more on the Hollywood aspect. Although this movie is not brilliant, because i enjoy the book so much i will give this product the benefit of the doubt
