It works.
My son-in-law installed it , after a bit of batteries in and batteries out , the base unit in the house began to display outdoor temperature.
I can not complain at about the device. The original failed because one of the dogs noticed it dislodged from the garage wall. And the dog put a bit too much teeth pressure on it. Perhaps a better mounting mechanism for the unit would have helped .
There was some issue two years ago with the base unit displaying rocky mountain time . We live in Eastern Standard time . I noticed this year , the base unit time display was correct for Ontario. Will give it another five years or so , before we know for sure. The remote is under the garage eve , as long as the dogs do not jump and take it.
