Good Value Audio Fuse
You can pay serious money for this type of fuse and there is always the possibility of the placebo effect. The AMR approach is a sensible trade off between making a difference (once the fuses are burnt in) and value for money. The difference between these fuses and the standard Bussmann fuses is subtle but noticeable. In my set-up (feeding a substantial mains filter) I used one for the wall socket plug - one for the 20mm fuse in the mains filter itself - and one on the mains plug feeding my valve amplifier. Once all three were settled in there was a difference across the frequency spectrum which is hard to explain but the effect is both neutral and beneficial at the same time. I do not think directionality is a factor here given that mains is AC. I am sure AMR's competitors would make various claims that their fuses are technically superior but as a low cost upgrade I would recommend AMR fuses as a good introduction to improving the quality of how your system is powered from the mains.
