Best Available Yeast Extract
The best yeast extract ever was Barmene (alas long 'out of print'): this is far better than Meridian, and rivals Essential, and has the plus of not being made in Germany!

A masterly account of a now-almost obscured part of our History.
Everything by - and, indeed, about - C.S. Lewis, is very worth anyone's attention. I must have dipped into this, when reading English half a lifetime ago, and was moved to buy it by some unexpected emotional turmoil not unconnected with part of the title. His command of classical languages and facility in writing beautiful nEnglish prose and verse, put him in 'great eminence'. After all the intervening years, it is still excellent 'value for money'.
