Product is designed for a low end trailer (wire harnass is very thin) and I would not recommend it for a boat trailer.

The Kobalt Battery was not new in the sense that it was a 2016 battery
The battery was warranted from date of manufacture which was stamped on battery as 2016. That means it will probably not make it past 2019. Based upon that, the value was not as good as I thought...we'll see.

0 of 5 found this helpful I would have liked to know how to wire the pump simply without any extra external wiring i.e. the 'on-off.' I wanted to wire it to my battery and let the unit turn on and off by way of the internal float only. After wiring the unit, I found out it will stay on all the time whether there is water or not. Now I have to finger out why after running wires through tight spaces on my boat.
