Ray Mears changed my life!
This book is the bible to all those novices like myself who wish to experience the outdoors without all the clutter of the modern world.
Ray Mears takes us on a journey through the necessary skills and equipment needed to survive in the wild with little more than a few basic tools and a wealth of knowledge contained in the book. From starting a fire with flint and steels to building a shelter from little other than twigs and leaves all the information you will need is at your fingertips.
Well thought out and with simple instructions and diagrams this certainly gets you ready for some gentle 'worldly explorations' of your own.
I speak from experience when i say this is a very practical and invaluable source of information on wilderness camping. I am now a convert to a way of life that i thought had disappeared long before i first started walking this wonderful planet we live on.
