Eight Years In
I've installed the 9500ci in three different Audi Q5s. The last of which (and current) is an SQ5. Since using the 9500ci I haven't received a ticket. Watched cops jump out with an instant on laser gun pointed at me-and then pull over the guy behind me as they weren't getting an initial signal from me but did from the guy behind me. I've used the 9500ci through 8 Sierra Nevad winters, Nevada Desert heat and NYC traffic. never had a failure and can't imagine driving without one.
Key to the lack of problems is the quality of the installation of course so choose wisely. In crowded urban areas like SF or NYC, you'll want to turn it down due to the number of signals but you're going slower anyway. The GPS feature works great for frequent signals around your house. It does seem to react to whatever illegal detectors truckers use (not allowed in commercial vehicles) but it doesn't react to legal radar detectors.
