Classic
It’s a fantastic 2d Zelda game. Not on par with a link to the past in my opinion, but that’s my favorite game of all time, so it’s not a fair comparison for me to make. That being said, it’s still a top notch Zelda game and well worth a play. The older 2d games are becoming relics of the past and should be embraced while they’re still available, and this is one of the best of them.

It’s Zelda. Isn’t that enough?
2 of 2 found this helpful Yes, the graphics are cartoony. Yes, you sail through the overworld instead of walking or riding a horse. It’s still a Zelda game through and through. It’s not in my top 3, but it’s still fantastic. Criminally underrated when it came out, and a must play for Zelda fans. If you’re new to the series, it could also be a good introduction, as it is significantly easier than the other entries. It’s just a really fun game. Play it.
