This was a fine choice. So far an excellent scanner
Windows Vista recognized this and downloaded the correct drivers. I loaded the software from the included CDROM. This scanner is a big improvement over a Canon model I had earlier. Canon chose not to write Vista drivers for that scanner so it was recycled.
My Linux laptop also recognized this scanner at least for basic scanning functions which was something I took into consideration when purchasing it.
The used unit was in nearly perfect condition.

The product worked perfectly even though used.
It made my computer work a bit better. Recognized immediately by the OS. This used memory was in good to excellent condition.
