Working well for me
1 of 1 found this helpful I thought I needed a new aerial (and bought one) but it turned out that the Freeview receiver built in to my TV wasn’t functioning too well. This little box has solved all that and more besides - HD channels and a better EPG so the only regret is the new aerial that I probably didn’t need!

Can't wait for the carpet to need cleaning...
Firstly, I wanted a decent vacuum cleaner - something of solid quality like the Miele I used to have but somehow lost when moving house a few years back, and definitely not a cheap and not-so-cheerful thing like the 14.99 dud I got from Tesco last year with its wibbly-wobbly plastic tubes and no discernible cleaning ability. Dysons are good but too expensive for me at the moment and actually pretty raucous, albeit efficient, in operation. Ideally, I also wanted one I could pick up locally as transport costs on something of that weight and bulk would be a bit serious.
Armed with the above requirements I searched eBay and quickly came across the Nilfisk - not a name I had ever heard of before but some Googling readily established that it was a high quality Danish brand with unusual but ace designs and premium price tags. Having got the thing home, I did a little refurbishment of the machine and its accessories (using someone else's cleaner to clean this one), ordered some of the bags online - which came the next day - and, presto hey, a superb quality, highly powerful and efficient, whisper-quiet cleaner which should last me for yonks, assuming I don't lose it in another move.
Now, whenever the topic of conversation turns to the matter of vacuum cleaners - which it seldom does in fairness - I can let it be known that I am a committed Nilfisk man and sit back to enjoy other people's perplexed expressions of quiet respect for someone more knowledgeable and sophisticated than themselves. The carpets are very clean too. Works out all the way around.
