Mb quart 3000.1 discus amp
1 of 1 found this helpful This is the second one of these I've owned. This amp is a beast!! I own a skar rp 2000.1 that's a damn good amp also, but this amp here is a bad boy! The sound quality of the mb quart is a bit better to my ears and it doesn't run hot at all. The last one I had I ran at a 1/2 ohm. It ran like that for months before I sold it to buy the skar amp. I was thinking the mb quart was 3000 watts peak and the skar was 2000 rms. Plus I watched videos of the skar on the amp dyno where it made 3100 watts. So I thought I was getting a lot more power outta the deal. To my surprise the mb quart was just as loud and sounded better, as stated before. Idk, about the mb quart reference line tho. I own an ra1000.4 that's running my mids that sounds ok but lacks the power of the discus series. Plus when you look at the boards the reference amp looks just like a Rockville on the inside. No double sided board, no surface mount electronics and relatively cheap looking. These discus amps are exactly the opposite. This one is a beauty on the inside, and looks as tho it cost a lot more to build it than it cost me to buy it. If you want an amp that'll knock some subs, buy this amp. Not for soft or wimpy speakers tho. It'll blow up some cheapys. I know my stuff too, I used to compete in the usac db drags back in the mid 90's. Amps like this used to cost 8 or 900 bux. I had a ppi pc-2150 that this amp would blow away that cost me almost 800 back then. Love them old ppi, fosgate and Phoenix gold amps!! Some of the best. But for the money, I'll buy 5 more of these for damn near the same price and blow Windows out..lol

The worst woofers I've ever owned
I've owned em all JL, fosgate, mmats, alpine even Targa back in the mid to late 90's. I won't say these are Targa type quality, but I will say the powerbass tens I had lasted longer than these. I was powering these off a mb 3000 watt amp-btw it's not a true 3000. More like1500. These are supposed to be 900 watts or something max. I've seen ole skool jl w1's take way more abuse than these. Even a 1000 watts to 1 of them and still live. These barely lasted a full month and then they blew up. I use to compete back in the 90's. Seen good woofers seen junk. These sound good but won't take power like a sundown. And their customer service guy was an asshole! Called there 3 times they wanted more for recones than I paid for both subs. Dude said because of ebay sellin em cheap. Then I asked to speak to someone else. Guy cussed at me and told me to fuck off. Not this ebay seller, the real RE-audio customer service guy did that. He treated me like shit. Never will I ever but from them again!

psb tweeters are top notch and low priced!
Excellent product, I have already bought them again for a different set of speakers. They sound great and have amazing high end detail and outstanding price. For the money I wouldn't buy another product from another vendor.
