Oxygen lambda o2 sensor eliminator kit Kawasaki Ninja Z 650 2017-2020
    02 Jun, 2021
Low cost mod with performance gain
The eliminator was simple to install and fits perfectly - even with my Akro system. The first ride was interesting as the engine light remained however performance was improved, and as expected fuel consumption increased from running richer. The light went out the next day so I think the ECU had adjusted to running the eliminator. The bike is running well, certainly feels quicker in the mid-range and slightly smoother rolling on at low speeds. Fuel consumption on country roads remains fine, however motorway cruising is taking a hit. I reckon I'm losing about 30 miles a tank if solely motorway cruising so making more fill ups. Not sure whether I will keep however it was a low cost mod to see if it would be acceptable. May need to map the bike rather than going back to a fully active O2 sensor.
