Useless for hot beverages
Not at all suitable for hot coffee so really should be for iced coffee. Even slight pressure on the cup pops the top. It is a great idea but the lid needs to be a lot more secure so it is not dangerous with hot drinks.

-113db to -80db at the flick of a switch
I live in an area with poor signal. Without the repeater signal strength is -113 db. You do need to mount the yagi antenna on a mast which you need to supply. The repeater is easy to install. The RG58 coax could be better quality but does the job. You do need to be careful in placement of receiving and transmitting antenna to avoid self-excitement. The repeater box does run hot but nothing to be concerned about. With the repeater running signal strength is -80db. Without the repeater nothing worked 1 bar reception. Switch the repeater on 3 - 4 bars. 3 x mobile phones now work so does my GSM alarm. Excellent product very happy. Works 3G and 4g.

What an absolute gem!
3 of 4 found this helpful The RTL-SDR Blog V3 RTL2832 paired with SDR# is an amazing bit of gear! The supplied antenna is basic but enough to get you started. Within minutes I was listening to air band. My location is approx 50 KM from the local airport and I was able to receive a strong signal. Signal strength is improved with the SWB signal amplifier notwithstanding it does raise the noise floor. The switchable bias Tee is a great feature. Tgood producto get the full use of this dongle it is ESSENTIAL that you follow the setup directions in SDR#. Well made, easy to use, highly recommended. In the good old days it took a radio shack full of equipment to be able to receive the range of signals offered by this small dongle.
