An iPhone records better than this item
0 of 8 found this helpful I bought this recorder thinking that I was purchasing a product that would give me crystal clear, broadcast quality sound. Previously, I have been using an Olympus WS-825, and was having some quality issues. I bought a better mic for it, and it was still OK.
So, with my purchase of this product, I was in hopes that the quality would be outstanding! Was I ever wrong! There is a background noise when I record that is screechy and distorted. It is really distracting! I was highly disappointed, and wish I could return the item--but it was an open box item so, I have no recourse but to keep it.
What I did instead was to plug the quality microphone into my iPhone 8+, and use the voice memos app to record. Quality? YES. Distortion? NO. My only wish is that I had done this before I purchased this item.
