Great vintage look at reasonable price
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought this for my son's 22nd birthday as he was keen to have one for his room (for some strange reason). For the money it is very good value. Very well packaged, easy to put together with very clear instructions in about 20 minutes, and then pretty sturdy (it's not like its carved of oak....), Looks great - lovely vintage maps and illustrations. Some of the reviews say the pieces weren't stuck down properly but ours has no issues in that regard. I personally find it a slightly surreal addition to our household furniture but if this is the sort of thing you are after, and genuine ones from the 50s or whenever are hard to come by in good nick, you get a great look for the money. The middle of the globe takes three / four bottles. Glasses ranged round the outside need to be quite small. Pint glasses won't fit, nor will very long stemmed wine glasses, but good for short glasses, tumblers and shot glasses. Room on the base for more bottles. Middle of the globe can be used for an ice bucket too.

Essential bit of kit for hanging coats without damaging fabric
I bought this to finish off a home-made coat, to give it a professional look. It does the job perfectly and when no hanger is available it saves getting an unsightly 'hump' in the fabric from hanging it over a hook. All coats and jackets should have one and at this price it is quick and easy to add one if yours is missing / broken.

Pretty, good size spoon rest for kitchen
This is an attractive table-spoon size rest for cooking spoons. I have had a spoon rest beside my cooker for years but my old one got knocked off the work surface and cracked so I bought this. Pros are that it is very attractive, holds a full size slotted spoon / wooden spoon and is easy to clean. Only con is that I have only had it a couple of weeks and it already has a small chip on the rim from normal use. I can't see this lasting the 20 years that my old one did.
