A decorative accent as well as useful.
Everyone can use extra coasters when they have extra company. These appealed to me because of the fabric design and the colors. They add a nice decorative accent and are useful as well.

It only requires one battery for operation!
The best feature of this player is that it only requires one battery for operation.
I have purchased several of these for an elderly lady in Louisiana who is blind and listens to audio books for entertainment. As she is on a very small fixed income, not having to buy as many batteries is very helpful.
Before finding this model of player, I had sent others to her. This one seems to be easier for her to operate which she does by "feel". Occasionally, she has had tapes "hang" up in a player, or has dropped and broken a player, which has necessitated my finding another for her. Otherwise, this model has been perfect for her use. As long as the tapes are good and she doesn't drop it, this has been a dependable player.

SanDisk Sansa e280 Digital Media Player
1 of 1 found this helpful I have owned four of these players. I bought one for parts. In my opinion this is the best mp3 player that SanDisk has made.
I primarily listen to audio books on my players. I do have my music synced to one of them. The sound is good, the battery life is good, and overall it is easy to use.
I listen to my player as I am doing my housework and/or yard work......I carry it in my shirt pocket. When bending over, to pick things up, I have dropped the player a "million" times and it's like a Timex watch that takes a Licking and keeps on ticking. Finally the back cracked on one of the players, after being dropped on my cement drive several times, and a piece or two broke off.........the player still works fine. I saw a player on eBay that was being sold for parts. I bought it to use the back as a replacement on mine.
I finally bought a newer player recently that has more memory and it's good overall but not as good as the E280 model. There are a few things that I like a little better but if given the choice, I'd still vote for the E280.
